‘The Endless Dress  - The Endless Smell’
at Edinburgh International Fashion Festival 2012

“A collaborative artwork commissioned specifically for the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival, this exhibition is the result of a fascinating ‘conversation’ between Berliners, Kostas Murkudis and Sissel Tolaas. The project is the first stage of a larger project and will involve Murkudis designing the first stage of a dress while Tolaas simultaneously creates the first stage of a smell – both works intrinsically related to each other and interwoven at every stage.”

I was commissioned to collaborate and produce a two-way video installation featuring abstract imagery resulting out of documenting the process. The room’s only light source comes from the video projections which are reflected by the dress’s material and the water it lies in.

Please watch both films simultaneously to understand the installation. The films are of different lenghts and loop continuously, constantly shifting their juxtaposition.
